The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, WLAM Wayne region, Women’s Bar Association (WLAM Oakland region), International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, and Turnaround Management Association Network of Women will present a private screening of “On the Basis of Sex” starring Felicity Jones as the U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The screening will take place Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Maple Theater in Bloomfield Township. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. with the film showing at 6 p.m.
In honor of Ginsburg’s contributions to women’s empowerment, the event will be collecting donations of professional clothing and accessories for the benefit of Dress for Success—Michigan. Monetary donations will also be welcome, and all proceeds from this event will be donated to Dress for Success.
