Race, gender, and wrongful conviction to be explored at conference

Wayne State University Law School will present guest speakers to examine the intersection of race, gender, and wrongful conviction at a conference scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, 12:45 to 5:25 p.m. at the Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.

Guest speakers Prof. Samuel Gross and Dr. Zieva Konvisser will discuss issues of race and gender before panelists and audience. Prof. David Moran will chair a panel in which exonerees Julie Baumer, Richard Phillips, Aaron Salter and Darrel Siggers describe their experiences of having been wrongfully convicted. This event is co-sponsored by Wayne
State University Law School and WSU Criminal Justice Department.
