The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel will present the Third Annual Legal Excellence Awards on Thursday, March 14, at The Gem Theatre, 333 Madison Avenue in Detroit from 6 to 9 p.m.
The night will include presentations to honorees: Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langford Morris for the Judicial Award of Excellence; Cheryl L. Chandler of Smith, Haughey, Rice, & Roegge PC for the Excellence in Defense Award; Samantha J. Orvis of Garan, Lucow, Miller PC for the Young Lawyer Golden Gavel Award.
The banquet includes a strolling dinner beginning at 6 p.m. The emcee for the evening will be Jason Colthorp of WDIV-TV Local 4 News.
Cost for the event is $85 per MDTC member or $170 per couple; non-members pay $100 per person. Judges may attend compliments of MDTC. To register or for additional information, visit www.mdtc.org and click on “events.”
