The Appellate Practice Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present an “Appellate Practice Panel” Tuesday, April 16, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Detroit Room of the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse, 231 W. Lafayette in Detroit.
The panel—hosted by Bush, Seyferth &?Paige PLLC; Jones Day; and the FBA—will compare and contrast state and federal appellate practice, provide appellate practice tips, and share perspectives on successful oral arguments.
The panel will include U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Joan Larsen, Sixth Circuit, Michigan Supreme Court Justice David F. Viviano, and Paul D. Hudson, principal at Miller Canfield and chair of the Appeals Section. Moderators for the event include Meghan Sweeny Bean of Jones Day and Derek J. Linkous of BSP.
