Varnum’s annual labor and employment seminar will be held next week in Detroit. A popular session topic at this year’s conference is the recently-amended Paid Medical Leave Act (PMLA). Joining Varnum attorneys to present on this topic will be Wage and Hour Division representatives Jennifer Fields and Troy Smith of the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
“We’re very pleased to have Jennifer and Troy join us for this important presentation,” said Beth Skaggs, chair of Varnum’s Labor and Employment Practice Team. “The updated PMLA has been a source of concern and questions by employers and human resource professionals, and we are happy to offer the perspective of Michigan’s Wage and Hour Division representatives to our seminar attendees.”
Varnum’s annual labor and employment seminar is set for Tuesday, April 23, at the MGM Grand Detroit, from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. For additional information and to register, visit www.varnumlaw.com/newsroom-events-2019-labor-employment-law-seminar.
