Judge discusses writing thriller

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina (pictured) gave a book talk and signed copies of her thriller “Triple Cross Killer” at The Detroit Writing Room on Saturday, July 20.  Aquilina was elected to the Ingham County Circuit Court in November 2008.  She received national recognition during the Larry Nassar trial when she allowed 150-plus sexual assault survivors to speak.  Her fictional novel, “Triple Cross Killer,” the first in a detective series, was published in December 2017.  In “Triple Cross Killer,” letters to Santa Claus from children in Detroit and Sarasota are diverted and reviewed by Nick Archer, a religiously obsessed, narcissist.  Archer responds, leaving a trail of devastation in the two cities.  In Detroit, co-ed partners and wise-cracking lovers, detectives Jaq McSween and David Maxwell, team up with Sarasota detectives Abel Mendoza and his partner, Rabbit, to find the killer.  The Detroit Writing Room is a co-working space for writers, business professionals, and entrepreneurs.  For additional information, visit detroitwritingroom.com.
