Three sentenced to life in fatal shooting of Warren woman

MOUNT CLEMENS (AP) - Three people have been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the fatal shooting of a woman whose body was found outside a Detroit-area home.

WDIV-TV reports the two men and one woman were given the mandatory punishment Wednesday after being tried together for 34-year-old Julii Larrie Johnson's January 2017 killing.

George Rider of Huntington Woods, Eric Gibson of Detroit and Marcie Griffin of Eastpointe were convicted of first-degree murder in Johnson's death. Authorities have said that Johnson was fatally shot on the front lawn of a Warren house where she was living with her boyfriend.

Police say Griffin was jealous of Johnson because she and Johnson's boyfriend had two children together. Authorities say Griffin enlisted Rider, who enlisted Gibson to help kill Johnson.
