Firm receives award from Historical Society

In honor of the 150th anniversary of Howard &?Howard, the Michigan Historical Society presented a plaque at the law firm’s Royal Oak offices Thursday, July 25. On hand for the presentation were (left to right) Howard & Howard’s Timothy Wittebort and CEO Mark Davis, along with Paul M. Keep, director of development at the Michigan Historical Society. Founded in 1869, the firm was honored for more than 150 years of continuous operation in service to the people of Michigan and for contributing to the growth and vitality of the state.

Howard & Howard celebrated its sesquicentennial anniversary in a celebration that took place on July 25 at the firm's home office in Royal Oak. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks, and prizes during the afternoon celebration. Paul Keep from the Historical Society of Michigan was on hand to present Howard & Howard with a plaque recognizing its 150 years of continuous operation in service to the people of Michigan and for contributing to the growth and vitality of the state.

Howard & Howard President and CEO Mark A. Davis accepted the award on behalf of the firm. "We are honored to be a recipient of the Historical Society of Michigan's Milestone Award for our 150th anniversary. All of us at Howard & Howard are very proud of the firm's history and success and are grateful for the recognition."

To mark this milestone anniversary, the firm is in the midst of its "12 Months of Giving," a year-long charitable initiative. The firm is working with various community and charitable groups in Michigan, Illinois, and Nevada, volunteering and donating more than $150,000 throughout 2019.
