The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, 1StongSista, Each One Teach One, and Oakland County Commissioner Janet Jackson, chair of the Oakland County Human Trafficking Task Force, proudly present a community screening of the film “Harriet” about abolitionist Harriet Tubman. This event includes the movie and a pre-show mixer, with a Taste of Soul, catered by Beans & Cornbread.
Attendees will meet at AMC Star Southfield 20 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. Tickets may be purchased for $20 at Eventbrite.
Net proceeds will go to fight against human trafficking. Attendees will have an opportunity to obtain community program and service information.
