Association to host 17th Annual Medical Malpractice Seminar

The Michigan Association for Justice will host its 17th Annual Medical Malpractice Seminar on Friday, Jan. 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton, 2700 S. Karevich Dr. in Novi. The seminar is for MAJ plaintiff members only.

Co-moderators will be MAJ Past President Jesse Reiter, Reiter & Walsh PC, and MAJ Past President Judy Susskind, Sommers Schwartz PC.

Nationally-acclaimed trial lawyer Jonathon H. Lomurro will kick off the seminar presenting “Hidden Data for Your Case: Audit Trails, Metadata, Archives, and Alerts.”  Other topics to be covered include: “The New Court Rules - How to Make  Them Work Best for You”; “3 Key Winning Trial Strategies: Voir Dire, Simplified PowerPoint Opening Statements, and Daubert Motions to Limit Defense Experts”; and “The Top 5 Impactful Appellate Decisions Regarding Medical Malpractice.”

Rates to attend (if registered by Jan. 2) are $250 for MAJ plaintiff members, full day; $165 for MAJ plaintiff members practicing less than 3 years, full day; $150 for MAJ plaintiff sustaining members; $150 for MAJ plaintiff student and paralegal members, full day; $215 for MAJ plaintiff members, morning only; $135 for MAJ plaintiff members practicing less than 3 years, morning only; $125 for MAJ plaintiff sustaining members, morning only; $125 for MAJ plaintiff student and paralegal members, morning only.

Registrations received after Jan. 2 will be charged an additional $50 (including sustaining members). On-site/door registrations will be charged an additional $100 (including sustaining members). Register at www.michiganjustice.org.
