Board celebrates 50th anniversary

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners celebrated its 50th Anniversary on Thursday, December 12, at the Commissioners Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse in Pontiac. Oakland County Executive David Coulter (second from right) spoke at the event and the program was emceed by Board Chairman David T. Woodward (far right) and Commissioner Michael J. Gingell (far left), who was the longest serving chairman in the history of the board. Commissioner Emeritus Mattie McKinney Hatchett (second from left) gave the invocation. All current and former commissioners having served during the board’s 50-year history were invited to attend.
