Program to look at 'Paternity in Juvenile and Family Cases'

The Oakland County Bar Association will present “Paternity in Juvenile and Family Cases” on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the OCBA offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.

The Revocation of Paternity Act (ROPA) isn’t just for family law cases.  ROPA is often used in juvenile cases, too. The speakers will discuss its practical application in these cases, including real-life case studies.

Speaking at the seminar will be attorneys Kate Weaver and Lisa Harris of Oakland County Circuit Court.

This seminar is worth 1.5 credits for attorneys accepting juvenile appointments.

Cost for OCBA members is $12 pre-registration or $25 on site registration. Non-members pay $25 pre-registration or $40 on site registration. To register, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
