The Federal Bar Association (FBA), Eastern District of Michigan, will host the Wade H. McCree Jr. Award Luncheon for the Advancement of Social Justice on Wednesday, Feb. 26, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Atheneum, 1000 Brush Avenue in Detroit.
Among Wade H. McCree Jr.’s many accomplishments and contributions, he was also a professor at the University of Michigan Law School and so the FBA is thrilled to welcome Jim Harbaugh, head coach of the University of Michigan football team, as this year’s keynote speaker for his luncheon.
The Wade H. McCree Jr. Award for the Advancement of Social Justice honors individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the advancement of social justice. These contributions may include advancing social justice in areas involving poverty, promoting economic or educational opportunity, or fighting discrimination involving race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, religion, or economic status.
