Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash continues to share valuable information with Oakland County residents by collaborating with local libraries to host a series of informational discussions. These free discussions provide residents with the opportunity to ask questions about an array of water and aging infrastructure concerns. No topic is off limits as these discussions range from wastewater recovery, water technology, water quality, affordability, stormwater, soil erosion, lakes and climate change to name a few.
“For the third consecutive year, I am out in the communities to help our residents understand what we do and how they can help keep our water safe and clean,” said Nash.
Sharing Nash’s sentiment is the Berkley Public Library Director Matt Church who expressed, “We’re pleased to welcome Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash to the library to meet and talk with residents about various issues they’re facing related to our water.”
Water Infrastructure 101 - “What You Need to Know Below and Beyond” discussions are currently scheduled below for 2020:
• Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Hazel Park Library, 123 Nine Mile Road in Hazel Park. Nash will join in the Hazel Park Book Club discussion of the book, “What the Eyes Don’t See,” written by Dr. Mona Hanna Attisha.
• Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Berkley Library, located at 3155 Coolidge in Berkley.
• Tuesday, April 14, , from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Highland District Public Library, located at 444 Beach Farm Circle in Highland Charter Township.
