The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel will host its Legal Excellence Awards 2020 on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Gem Theatre, 333 Madison Ave. in Detroit.
The evening will include a strolling dinner, an open bar, the presentations of four esteemed legal awards, red carpet closeups, great fellowship, and opportunities to network. The emcee will be Roop Raj of Fox 2 Detroit.
This years awards winners include:
• Judicial Award—Kent County Circuit Court Judge Christopher P. Yates.
• Excellence in Defense Award—Patricia Nemeth of Nemeth Law PC.
• Golden Gavel Award—Javon L. Williams of Secrest Wardle.
• John P. Jacobs Appellate Advocacy Award—Susan H. Zitterman of Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, Valitutti, & Sherbrook.
• Respected Advocate Award Recipient—Jody L. Aaron of McKeen & Associates PC.
The cost to attend the event is $85 for an MDTC member, $170 for a member and guest, $100 for a non-member, and no cost for
