Five elected to board of bar association

Four incumbents and one newcomer have been elected to three-year terms on the board of directors for the Oakland County Bar Association.

Incumbents Kari Melkonian, Sarah Kuchon, Syeda Davidson, and Emily Long were the top four vote-getters in the OCBA election, while Moheeb Murray also was elected to a three-year term that ends June 30, 2023.

“Of the 2,377 eligible voters in this election, 593 members voted for a total of 24.95 percent voter turnout,” said a spokesperson for the OCBA.

“A big thank you to this year’s candidates for participating! This was an incredibly qualified slate of candidates with every candidate having contributed to the OCBA in so many different ways. Their willingness to run for the OCBA Board makes the OCBA a stronger bar association, one that is better suited to making an impact on our delivery of services to members, to our community, and to the legal profession.”
