ABA plans webinar for Law Student Mental Health Day
The American Bar Association Law Student Division and Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs will mark Law Student Mental Health Day on October 8 with a timely program online. "Exploring the Intersection Between Racial Justice, Social Activism and Mental Health" will be offered Thursday, October 8, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
This year has been filled with challenges and stresses, and the webinar is an opportunity to recommit to personal well-being.
Rhonda Magee, author of "The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness," and a law professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, will offer tips for focusing awareness on the present moment, while acknowledging and accepting feelings, thoughts and sensations, to maintain mental health.
