Wayne State University Law School, the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics, and Harvard Law School will co-sponsor the “Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics Transgender Health Equity and the Law Symposium” on Monday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the WSU Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 West Palmer in Detroit.
This symposium will unveil a special issue of the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics devoted to Transgender Health Equity and the Law, with panels from authors and local researchers on a broad array of topics impacting transgender populations including: Reproductive Health and Pregnancy, International Human Rights, Ethics of Conversion Practices and Access to Appropriate Health Care. The symposium will pose opportunities for moving forward with a more equitable approach to policy impacting transgender populations.
