'Law & the Lay Up'

The 5th annual panel discussion and basketball tournament titled “Law & the Lay Up” was presented Friday, Oct. 11, by the Solomon’s Temple Church Youth Department in Detroit. With the help of judges, attorneys, police officers, and other legal professionals, the program sought to deter young people from making poor decisions.  Taking part in the program were (seated, left to right) Solomon’s Temple Church Media Coordinator Barbara Pittman, Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Cylenthia LaToye Miller, Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Demetria Brue, Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Aliyah Sabree, and Vanessa Fluker; along with (back row, left to right) Frederick Coleman, Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Christopher Blount, Jonathon Mapp, Wayne County Probate Court Judge David Braxton, and Solomon’s Temple Church Assistant Pastor Van Adams.  The program originators/coordinators were Judge Brue, Pittman, and Adams.
