Attorneys discuss 'Earned Sick Time Act / Paid Medical Leave Act' online

Maddin Hauser will present a webinar on "Earned Sick Time Act / Paid Medical Leave Act in Michigan" as a webinar on Monday, February 6, from 8 to 9 a.m. Maddin Hauser attorneys Ronald A. Sollish, Kaitlin A. Brown, Jordan M. Small, and Mariel G. Newhouse will discuss what employers need to know about how and when to comply with shifting statutory requirements.

Sollish, shareholder, serves as an executive committee member and chairman of the firm's Corporate/Employment group. He specializes in employment, real estate, partnership, finance, corporate, and business law. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, and Oakland County Bar Association. Sollish graduated with a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and earned his B.G.S. from the University of Michigan.

Brown is a shareholder in the firm's Corporate and Employment group and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Specializing in employment law, she focuses on counseling employers to take measures to prevent more costly claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and improper payment of wages. She is admitted to practice law in Michigan, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and in Indiana.

Small is an associate and works on a broad range of matters. He assists members of the Maddin Hauser corporate, business, and employment workforce management groups. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Michigan State University. Before joining Maddin Hauser, Small clerked with the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission.

White serves as an associate working on a broad range of matters, including employment and workforce issues and general litigation. She worked in Maddin Hauser's summer program before joining full-time as an associate. She attended law school at Michigan State University College of Law. White is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan.
