‘Understanding the CPS Lens’ presented online

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, Child Abuse Training Services (CATS) Program, and the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) are pleased to present a Specialized Child Abuse Training webinar on the topic of the “Dispelling Myths: Understanding the CPS Lens.”

This training will be offered online Tuesday, July 16, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. via Zoom.

Attendees will explore cases through the lens of a State of Michigan Children’s Protective Services Investigator.  Participants will learn how investigations are handled from start to finish.

This presentation will include case examples involving different forms of maltreatment, the importance of interviews and the emphasis on collaboration along all disciplines.  Myths will be dispelled; conversations will be had, and relationships will be made to improve how we can keep children and families safe.
