The Thomas M. Cooley Law School invites law students interested in summer foreign study to apply for the school’s Toronto, Canada experience. The six-week program takes place May 17-June 26 and is divided into two three-week sessions. Students can participate in one or both sessions and choose among such courses as NAFTA, International Criminal Law, and International Business Overview.
In the 10 years that the Toronto program has been in operation, it has attracted students from over 35 law schools. Cooley also operates a spring semester program in Australia and New Zealand.
Foreign study applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an ABA-accredited or state-approved law school. Applicants must have completed at least one year of law school. Guest student tuition is $675/credit hour or a reduced total tuition of $3,900 if taking all six credits, making it one of the most affordable foreign study programs in the nation. There is also a $100 administrative fee.
