Organizers announce casting call for May 14 benefit performance of annual Mott, Motown & more

 Organizers are expecting stars like Beyonce and Lady Gaga to respond to this year's casting call for “Mott, Motown & More: Dance to the Music” and they have a slate of community leaders in mind to help create the most memorable performance since the show began three years ago. The team of organizers, headed up by Foundation President Lennetta Coney, are seeking no-experience-necessary performers who are willing to be professionally directed to the benefit of MCC students in need.

“Our stars are made by the very capable hands of a professional director who patiently works with community leaders regardless of their performance skills.” Coney said. “The transformation of community leader to rock star is incredible every year and the audience is quick to show their approval.”
To be cast in this year's annual lip sync show, please call (810) 762-0041. Rehearsals will begin this month for the May 14 performance. The show will begin at 7 pm at the Mott Memorial Building Auditorium.
Tickets to Mott, Motown & More are $20 and can be purchased in advance by (810) 762-0041. Tickets also may be purchased at the door. All proceeds will go to MCC Alumni Association scholarships to aid MCC students in need of financial assistance.
The two-hour show will feature acts of community leaders from throughout the Flint area faking their way through legendary hits to the cheers and laughter of an appreciative audience.
“I do not recall any program of which I have been apart receiving so much attention and demand for more,” said Lennetta Coney, President of the Foundation for Mott Community College. “It is a crowd pleaser.”
