Mott foundation adds program assistant

 Megan Russell of Birmingham, Mich., has joined the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation as a Program Assistant on the Pathways Out of Poverty grantmaking team. She will work on the Learning Beyond the Classroom portfolio within the Improving Community Education program area.

Russell previously managed youth programs at HandsOn Battle Creek and has been an adjunct faculty member at Kellogg Community College. In addition, she has been active in a variety of other community organizations.
She holds a master's degree in public administration from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Albion College.
The Mott Foundation, established in 1926 in Flint by an automotive pioneer, is a private philanthropy committed to supporting projects that promote a just, equitable and sustainable society. It supports nonprofit programs throughout the U.S. and, on a limited geographic basis, internationally. Grantmaking is focused in four programs: Civil Society, Environment, Flint Area and Pathways Out of Poverty.
