Make a note of the date, November 11, and put that in your purse ... or wallet.
"Power of the Purse 2011" is set for Nov. 11 at JCC's Potter Center from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The event honors "female veterans and the nourishing ofyoung minds and bodies" according to a spokesperson and features a dinner, swag bags fore veryone, hand-painted wine glasses, raffles, a silent auction of purses along with a live auction of stand-out purses.
Given the success of last year's initial Power of the Purse, this year's edition will feature "more purses, more bling, more swag, more surprises and more fun.
"Over 50 purses stuffed with fabulous finds, and 10-12 additional exceptional purses in a do-not-miss live auction will be the talk of the town," organizers said.
The event is co-sponsored by the Women's Leadership Council and United Way of Jackson County.
