66th annual meeting and recognition celebration
Flint, MI – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint will celebrate the service and contributions of its dedicated volunteers, donors, and community supporters at the 66th Annual Meeting & Recognition Celebration, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Sarvis Conference Center (1231 E Kearsley Street) in Flint. Event registration begins at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and musical entertainment provided by Big Brother, James Hollingsworth. Program highlights include Board of Directors Reconstitution, Best of Monday’s Child (ABC 12), Awards Presentation, Annual Report to the Community, and a Charity Auction. The event is by invitation only; there is no cost to attend; dress is business casual. Big Brothers Big Sisters welcomes Stephanie “K”, CK 105.5 Morning Show Co-Host as the Mistress of Ceremonies. The theme for the 66th celebration is “Start Something”, the new Big Brothers Big Sisters of America focus emphasizing the power of volunteerism and philanthropy.

The focus of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint is to provide children, primarily from single parent homes, with the friendship of a positive role model. For 66 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been impacting thousands of children in Genesee County through its mentoring outreach and support. Fundraising and mentor recruitment endeavors ensure the increased capacity of the organization to respond to needs in the community.
