 I’m “Thanking” Arby’s

Arby’s restaurants recently awarded $7,089.55 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint through the 2010 Arby’s Foundation National Community Fundraiser. Arby’s customers who came into local restaurants from May 3rd through June 15th could donate a dollar and sign a “Help Us Help Kids” pin-up to hang on the walls of the restaurants. The campaign is a national partnership effort supported by the Arby’s Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America to benefit Big Brother Big Sisters’ affiliates throughout the country.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint is grateful for the long-time support and commitment of the local Arby’s Restaurant and its customers. Each year, the efforts of Arby’s and its team members strengthen the financial resources that ensure mentoring services for local children thorugh Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint. Arby’s employees have participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters annual Bowling Challenge fundraiser for 30 years. They raised over $2,000 in 2010 and they have committed to join us again for Bowling Challenge 2011 with their traditional 20 plus teams!
As a part of Arby’s commitment to making a difference. Arby’s established the Arby’s Foundation, Inc. in 1986. The Foundation focuses on supporting leadership, education and youth-mentoring initiatives. Because of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ vision “to provide a mentor for every child who needs or wants one,” Arby’s has selected Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as its national corporate charity.
