Wayne Law Review students visit seven Detroit law firms
Nearly 50 Wayne Law Review students joined representatives from Wayne State University Law School's Career Services Office for a bus tour of seven Detroit law firms on Friday, Aug. 19. The event, which included stops at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, Dickinson Wright PLLC, Kerr Russell and Weber PLC, Miller Canfield Paddock and Stone PLC, Butzel Long, Dykema Gossett PLLC and Bodman PLC, was designed to introduce the newest members of the Law Review to the large law firms that will be recruiting on campus this fall.
''Our goal is to prepare students and provide them with as many employment opportunities as possible,'' said Kathy Fox, director of Employer Development. ''It was a very successful event, with each firm providing anywhere from four-10 attorneys to meet with our students. The event enabled our students to learn about each firm prior to on-campus interviews and allowed students to gain additional insight into the interview process.''
