Kevin Boyle, author of Arc of Justice, spoke to an audience of more than 250 people at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Cooley Center on Tuesday, October 25. The book is touted as an electrifying account of a real-life murder. The story began when an African American physician purchased a home in a white Detroit neighborhood in 1925.
This year's Michigan Humanities Council selected Arc of Justice for its statewide reading initiative. Boyle's visit was part of the Capital Area District Library's special events, all of which were related to the themes presented in the book. Michigan Court of Appeals Judge William C. Whitbeck led the interview-format presentation with Boyle.
