JCBA to award scholarships
Applications are due May 31 for a Jackson County Bar Association scholarship award, which will provide financial assistance to Jackson County residents who are law or pre-law students.
The awards will total $2,000, whether that is all to one recipient or divided between multiple recipients. The JCBA will present each award at its annual meeting in June.
The applicant must be:

* Enrolled in a degree program full or part-time.
* Still enrolled at the time of the award; and possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for law school and 3.0 for college.
Applications must include a law school/college transcript; a letter of recommendation from an independent party endorsing the applicant as a scholarship recipient; and a copy of law school acceptance letter(s) if the applicant is not already enrolled in law school. To receive an application, contact Chadwick A. Perrine at cperrine@marcouxallen.com or call him at 517-787-4100.
