Attorney to serve as conference chair
Lawrence G. (L.G.) Almeda, a shareholder in the Ann Arbor office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., will serve as a conference chair at The Battery Show 2012, to be held Tuesday, Nov. 13 through Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Novi Sheraton in Novi.
The Battery Show is intended to evaluate the latest market trends and advancements in battery technology across automotive, portable and industrial sectors that are driving development, growth and demand of advanced batteries worldwide.
Almeda is chair of the Nanotechnology Group at Brinks and focuses his practice on patent opinions and prosecution in the medical, chemical, nanotechnology and mechanical arts, with an emphasis on medical devices, nanomaterials, micro and nanodevices, petroleum and chemical processes, polymers, fuel cells, hybrid engines and polycarbonate glazing systems. He counsels clients on patent infringement and validity evaluations.
