The annual meeting and Shrimp dinner of the Ingham County Bar Association (ICBA) was held on a beautiful Spring evening at the Lansing Leiderkranz Club on May 22nd. This year’s dinner, the 70th, was ably led by Co-Chairs Robert Refior and Elias (Louis) Kafantaris. Those attending had a marvelous meal of shrimp with the special sauce, ham, salads, and fresh rolls.
Following the meal, the annual meeting was held.
Stacia Buchanan, President announced the results of the 2013 election. The two recently elected ICBA Board Members are Bryan Waldman and Jessica Fox.
Waldman is with the Sinas Dramis law firm and received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. He is a Past-President of the Michigan Association for Justice (formerly the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association). He has also served as Chairperson of the Michigan Civil Service Commission.
Fox has her practice in St. Johns, is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly for Eaton County and is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Shenique Moss, President of the Young Lawyer’s Section announced the following new members of that section: Stephen Sinas, Will Camp, Mike Hill and Warren Krueger.
Sinas, a graduate of Wayne Law School and the University of Michigan is with Sinas Dramis law firm; Camp, White Schneider Young Chiodini is a University of Michigan undergrad with a JD from Michigan State University College of Law; Hill, a sole practitioner, is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Toledo College of Law and Krueger, a graduate of DePaul University College of Law at Loomis Ewert Parsley Davis & Gotting, PC.

The Shrimp Dinner could not happen without the 21 volunteers that arrived early in the day to set up, cook the shrimp, serve the dinner and stayed to clean up.
