Ingham County Bar Association elects Officers for 2013-2014

Josh Ard of Williamston has been elected president of the Ingham County Bar Association for the 2013-2014 year. Also serving as officers are Liisa Speaker, President-Elect, Jason Hanselman, Vice-President, Mary Chartier, Secretary, and Mark Kellogg, Treasurer.

Ard practices with the Law Office of Josh Ard, PLLC. He represents clients in court and administrative hearings, drafts life planning and estate planning documents and plans for Medicaid eligibility and estate administration.

Speaker practices with the Speaker Law Firm, an appellate boutique law firm representing clients in the Michigan and federal appellate courts. Her unique appellate experience and comprehensive understanding of the appellate process offers clients superior written and oral advocacy. Speaker works with trial attorneys and directly with litigants from all over the State of Michigan to provide exceptional representation in their appeals.

Hanselman is with the Lansing office of Dykema. He advises clients in highly-regulated fields, such as casino gaming, election law, and public education. He regularly represents those clients in complex business matters, litigation before state and federal courts, and regulatory proceedings before administrative boards and panels.

Chartier is with Alane & Chartier, P.L.C., offering comprehensive, high-quality legal representation that seeks to meet the overall needs of each client. The firm provides traditional litigation and advocacy services such as criminal defense, family law counsel, and appellate advocacy, and also specializes in collaborative methods and additional alternative ways to resolve disputes.

Kellogg practices with Fraser Trebilcock. He is a family business counselor and consultant, and practices in the areas of business and corporate law, taxation, business entity formation and planning, business succession planning, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, non-profit and tax exempt organizations, real estate transactions, and estate planning and probate law.
