Jack Nicklaus to honor President Gerald R. Ford legacy

Tickets to A Conversation with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus go on sale today; proceeds benefit curriculum development for the new Learning Center at the Gerald R. Ford once said, "I know I am getting better at golf because I am hitting fewer spectators." In honor of President Gerald R. Ford's Centennial Birthday, golf legend and personal friend of President Ford, Jack Nicklaus will visit Grand Rapids to participate in a luncheon conversation. Tickets are now on sale,for A Conversation with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus. Proceeds from the luncheon, which is being held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the JW Marriott's International Ballroom, will be used for curriculum development at the new Learning Center being constructed at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids. The cost for tickets is $100, which includes lunch. Individuals interested in attending should contact the Gerald R. "Jack played many rounds of golf with Dad during his life and he was a close family friend for many of those years," said Steve Ford. "I am honored that Jack is willing to honor my dad's legacy and participate in the conversation to raise funds for the Learning Center." Nicklaus, known to many as "The Golden Bear," served as an honorary pallbearer during President Ford's funeral. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished professional golfers of all time.
