- Off to the Races -

Runners and walkers take to the streets of Lansing during the Cooley Law School 5K Race for Education and the Impression 5 Half Marathon. Both races began simultaneously in front of Cooley Law School Stadium.

On Sunday, Sept. 15, runners and walkers participated in the Capital City River Run Weekend of Races to raise money for education. Cooley Law School’s 5K Race for Education gave runners the chance to win money for their school of choice while the Impression 5 Half Marathon donates dollars to the Impression 5 Science Center. Cooley 5K Race proceeds go to schools that are selected through a random drawing from nominations made by race participants and the School Competition awards the three schools with the most nominations with cash prizes of $1,000 for 1st, $750 for 2nd, and $500 for 3rd.
