Eggan elected as Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP Partner Eric J. Eggan has been elected as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. The American College of Trial Lawyers Fellows are chosen strictly by invitation and only after rigorous investigation. Fellowship is limited to one percent of the lawyers in any individual state and to those lawyers who have distinguished themselves in trial practice for at least 15 years. Fellows must be skilled trial lawyers who are recognized by judges and practitioners as the very best in their states and as persons whose ethics, moral standards, collegiality, and community standing are exemplary. Election to the College is one of the highest professional honors and recognitions that a trial lawyer can receive.

Eggan, a partner in Honigman’s Litigation Department, serves a diverse clientele in litigation and regulatory matters. He has handled numerous civil and criminal jury and nonjury trials and appeals in state and federal courts. Eggan joined Honigman in 2004 after a 23-year career in state government, serving as assistant in charge of the Michigan Attorney General’s Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division.
Eggan serves on the board of directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Michigan Capital Region.
He earned a J.D., with distinction, from Thomas J. Cooley Law School and a B.S., cum laude, in political science, from Central Michigan University.
