A Christmas concert to benefit Hosanna House of Michigan is set 6:30 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, at Trinity United Methodist Church 7533 W. St. Joe, Lansing.
Refreshments will be served after the concert. Tickets are $10; children are admitted for free. The venue will hold up to 700 people.
The concert is to help raise funds to renovate seven homes in Lansing for youth aging out of the foster care system in Ingham county and provide them with safe, affordable housing for at least three years. These seven homes will serve 20 youth in the community. Programs include: Transitional Living/Life Skills, Education/Job Training, Health and Well Being, and Community Outreach.
Donations can also be made at www.hosannahousemi.org or by sending a check to Hosanna House of Michigan P. O. Box 80802 Lansing MI 48908. Hosanna House is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Michigan and all donations are tax deductible.
The overall fundraising goal is $225,000 but in-kind donations of products and materials to renovate these homes will reduce the estimated cost of renovations. After the initial investment of $225,000 the program will sustain itself for Ingham County. The organization hopes to expand the program into other counties.
