The Washtenaw Association for Justice will hold its bi-annual banquet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Barton Hills Country Club.
Judge Timothy P. Connors and attorney Thomas C. O'Brien will make special appearances and Kenneth Mogill will give the keynote address, “Reflections on the Struggle for Marriage Equality.”
Barry Gates will be honored with the Ronald W. Egnor Jr. Outstanding Attorney Award; Justice Michael F. Cavanagh will receive the Justice Blair Moody Jr. Award; Judge Darlene A. O’Brien will be presented with the Justice Marilyn Kelly Award; Judge Carol A. Kuhnke will be honored with the Professional Integrity and Community Outreach Award; and Richard Boothman will be presented with the Respected Defense Counsel Advocate Award.
The new Board will also be sworn in: Lana A. Panagoulia, president; Chad Englehardt, vice president; Benjamin Muth, treasurer; and Elizabeth Graziano, secretary; and outgoing president John Bredell will be recognized.
