The Washtenaw County Bar Association will hold a Happy Hour at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at Bill’s Beer Garden, 218 S. Ashley in Ann Arbor.
Other upcoming WCBA events include Constitution Day on Sept. 17, when attorneys volunteer in the Ann Arbor Public Schools to teach a planned U.S. Constitution lesson. Volunteers will be needed.
Members are also invited to a WCBA/LRC joint event at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Arbor Brewing Company (formerly Corner Brewery), 720 Norris St., Ypsilanti, to join in celebrating Washtenaw County/Eastern Michigan University Legal Resource Center’s 10th Anniversary and in congratulating the next State Bar President and founding LRC member, Lori A. Buiteweg, who will be sworn in at the Oct. 8 State Bar Annual Meeting, set for Oct. 7-9 at the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave., Novi.
WCBA members should also mark their calendars for the WLAM/WCBA tailgating party at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19; and an October Bias Awareness Week event slated for Tuesday, Oct. 20.
