MSU Law alum named co-group leader at Kotz Sangster Wysocki

Thomas J. Vitale, a Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C. attorney from Detroit, has joined their office in Grand Rapids as co-group leader.

Vitale, who graduated cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2010, was an associate editor for the Michigan State Law Review.

He has extensive trial and appellate experience as a litigator, representing clients in both state and federal courts. His commercial focus is primarily on construction, banking, manufacturing and real estate.

In his practice, he represents banks and other financial service providers with banking litigation, as well as national and local construction companies, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in construction and real estate disputes.

He has handled claims in arbitration, mediation and civil litigation involving non-competition agreements, business tort claims, disputes under the UCC, automotive supply chain disputes, tooling disputes and commercial collections.

Vitale, who received his undergrad degree from the University of Michigan in 2007, is a graduate of the Detroit Regional Chamber's Leadership Detroit Class. In addition, he has participated in The Salvation Army Outdoors Program, the Starting With One scholarship, and the Brother Rice Alumni Association where he served as President for the past year.
