Paul V. McCord has joined Fraser Trebilcock’s Lansing office as a Shareholder.
McCord focuses his practice in the area of federal and state tax litigation, while also counseling individuals and privately held businesses on a broad range of tax, corporate and real estate transactions.
Before joining the firm, McCord was a judge on the Michigan Tax Tribunal, hearing all manner of civil state tax disputes and property tax cases. He has represented clients before the IRS Michigan Department of Treasury, and the Michigan Supreme Court. He is well published on various tax law issues.
McCord received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law after serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the First Gulf War and holds a LL.M. in Taxation (with distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center.
