Butzel Long attorney Jennifer Dukarski, from the Ann Arbor office, was appointed to serve as liaison to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Young Lawyers Division on the Forum on Communications Law Governing Committee.
The Governing Committee oversees the activities of the Forum on Communications Law for its more than 2,200 members, including its CLE programs, practical workshops, and activities such as the Forum’s First Amendment and Media Law Diversity Moot Court Competition.
Dukarski focuses her practice at the intersection of technology and communications with an emphasis on emerging and disruptive issues: digital media, cybersecurity, infotainment, vehicle safety and connected and autonomous cars. With experience in intellectual property, automotive and media law, she leads clients in securing and protecting technology and content through transactions and litigation.
She serves as Counsel to the OESA’s Product Development Council and has spoken on First Amendment issues ranging from newsgathering in the digital age to the impact of the FBI iPhone strategy.
Dukarski graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy College of Engineering and Science, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; and graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
