Zoey Mayhew, a rising 3L student at Michigan State University College of Law, won the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society’s annual award for best legal history paper by an MSU Law student. Her paper explored Michigan’s intestacy laws and how they affect different legal classes of a decedent’s children. The Society’s Executive Director Carrie Sampson presented Mayhew, with two books published by the society; she also received a cash award.
