Sobriety Court Foundation to hold fundraising breakfast

The Ingham County Sobriety Court Foundation will hold its 5th annual breakfast 7:30-8:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at the Country Club of Lansing, 2200 Moores River Drive, Lansing. The topic is “The Opioid Epidemic Up Close and Personal.”

The host will be Sheri Jones, anchor of WLNS/Channel 6. Guest speakers are Gretchen Whitmer, acting Ingham County prosecutor; and Amanda Lick, manager of advocacy, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, Michigan Pharmacists Association.

Established in 2007, the Foundation was developed to support local sobriety courts in meeting the needs of its participants. Sobriety Courts partner with local treatment agencies and other community resources to provide participants with intensive treatment and holistic services to achieve and maintain sobriety.
