Fraser Trebilcock attorney Mark E. Kellogg was appointed president of the Board of Directors for Highfields, Inc. at the April 26 annual meeting.
His election continues a long legacy of attorneys from Fraser Trebilcock who have served on the board of Highfields, a non-profit organization providing support services to at-risk children, parents and organizations throughout Michigan.
Kellogg also was re-elected to the board of the International Association of Attorneys for Family- Held Enterprises, an independent, non-profit association of attorneys, practicing in the areas of corporate, litigation, taxation, and trusts and estates who provide multi-disciplinary legal counsel and advice to publicly and privately-held enterprises, their owner-managers, and family members. Kellogg serves as chair of the membership committee.
Kellogg has previously served on the board of directors of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the board of directors of Make A Wish Foundation of America (and on the board for the Michigan Chapter). He also has served on the City of DeWitt Planning Commission, Greater Lansing Catholic Education Foundation, City of Lansing Income Tax Board of Review, RE Olds Transportation Museum, Caring About Kids, Inc. and the DeWitt Soccer Club.
A member of the international Family Firm Institute and of the Michigan Chapter of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, Kellogg has devoted over 30 years of practice to the needs of family- and closely-held businesses and enterprises, and estate and business succession planning.
