ICBA Young Lawyers Section announces 2017-18 officers and board members

The Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section is pleased to announce its 2017-2018 Officers and Board Members.

Alexander Rusek will serve as President, and Katherine Bennett as President-Elect. Nicole Schmidtke was re-elected to continue serving as Treasurer, and Takura Nyamfukudza was re-elected to continue serving as Secretary.

The Board comprises nine young lawyers: Alexander Rusek, White Law PLLC; Katherine Bennett, State of Michigan Office of Attorney General; Nicole Schmidtke, Michigan State University Office of Institutional Equity; Takura Nyamfukudza, Chartier & Nyamfukudza, P.L.C.; Jacqueline Dupler (Immediate Past President), Sinas Dramis Law Firm; Teddy Eisenhut, Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office; Katherine Tucker, Sinas Dramis Law Firm; Michael Van Huysse, MCV Law PLLC; and Christopher Wickman, Equal Footing Law.

The Young Lawyers Section will continue its mission of sponsoring and supporting activities of interest and value to the community and young lawyers in Ingham County; cooperating, supporting, promoting, and coordinating activities with the ICBA as well as other local, state, and national young lawyers groups; establishing good fellowship among the ICBA-YLS, the ICBA, and members of the legal community; contributing to the educational and professional advancement of young lawyers; and taking such other action and performing such other functions as may be deemed appropriate in advancing its mission.
