The Detroit Chapter of The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) held its third annual Wine and Cheese Social June 18 at The Capital Grille in Troy. This year’s event featured special guest Thomas Gricks, managing director at Catalyst and an attorney in Pennsylvania. For the past several years, Gricks has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to E-Discovery, with a particular emphasis on technology-assisted review. He argued the Global Aerospace case before the Circuit Court in Loudoun County, Va., which is the first case to permit the use of technology-assisted review over the objection of the opposing party. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to meet Gricks, as well as to socialize and network with industry colleagues while enjoying a fine selection of wines and cheeses.
