Richardson named MDTC president

Foster Swift litigation attorney Joshua K. Richardson was named president of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) on July 1. He previously served as the organization’s vice president in 2017.

An association of lawyers dedicated to the representation of companies and individuals in civil litigation, the MDTC creates awareness through its amicus briefs: appellate briefs filed by non-parties to provide support for issues having a significant impact on the practice of law in Michigan, often at the request of the Michigan Supreme Court.

A graduate of Michigan State University and Indiana University School of Law, Richardson practices in Foster Swift’s Lansing office primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, employment and real property litigation, information technology law and premises liability.
