The United Way of the Lakeshore is celebrating Giving Tuesday by hosting an event for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, its focus for #GivingTuesday.
The event is free to the public on Tuesday Nov. 27 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at the UWL Building (31 E Clay Ave.). The aim is to enrich reading prociency of children across our lakeshore communities.
We have partnered with the Great Start Collaborative and Read Early Read Often to find the best storytellers in Muskegon. Children can listen to our amazing readers, enjoy crafts, fun-filled learning activities and listen to Mr. and Mrs. Claus read the final story of the day! Some of our readers include Allison Keessen, Nancy Hamlin, Reeths Puffer Play and Learn Group, Wendy Merkey and more. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be reading at 1:00 p.m.
