The Ingham County Bar Foundation (ICBF), a vehicle for lawyers and other interested citizens to make charitable contributions for the tangible, meaningful benefit of the community, recently announced the 2018 Grant Recipients. Six grants, totaling $16,500, made this year’s total the largest in ICBF history.
The Friends of Ingham County Veterans Treatment Court received $5,000 for its efforts to assist veterans with criminal court involvement, including emergency needs.
Ingham County Sobriety Court Foundation received $2,500 for the assistance it provides to participants in the four Ingham County Sobriety Courts.
Legal Services of South-Central Michigan received $2,500 to support services provided to domestic violence survivors in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties.
St. Vincent Catholic Charities received $2,500 to help provide information to foreign nationals and refugees in the U.S. as to rights and obligations under U.S. law.
Small Talk Children’s Assessment Center received $2,500 to provide free therapy to children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse.
The Firecracker Foundation, providing holistic healing services to survivors of sexual trauma under the age of 18 and their families in the tri-county area of Mid-Michigan received $1,500.
To date, the ICBF has provided grants to various organizations in excess of $100,000.
